Thanks for the screenshot. That screen is the FortiAuthenticator sign-in portal, not a FortiGate update. The "Sign-In Failed" message means the invitation from your IT admin has expired. Do you still have the invitation email from May? If not, we will re-issue a fresh invite from the console.

What the user sent

“My Fortinet VPN shows expired and requires me to update. Could you help me with that?” (plus an unexplained screenshot)

AI first response

“That screen is the FortiAuthenticator sign-in portal, not a FortiGate update. The invitation link from your IT admin has expired. Do you still have the May invite email?”

Solved by reply alone

User found the invite, replied “Thanks for your quick response.” No technician touched it.

What the user sent

“I'm trying to email our insurance company reps, but keep receiving the bounceback below. These emails should be safelisted.”

AI first response

“This is not a safelisting issue. It's a stale entry in your Outlook Auto-Complete list resolving an old address (550 5.1.1). Here's the 20-second fix…”

AI draft sent · 90% word-for-word

The technician's first instinct was “maybe a typo”. The AI draft, sent near-verbatim, worked on the first try.

What the user sent

“I'm trying to add a guest into our channel but it is showing: 0 of 1 members were added” (screenshot, no further context)

AI first response

“That message with the guest tag is a cross-tenant invite. It's being held at your Microsoft 365 guest access policy, not anything on her side.”

Right fix on first reply

A classic misdiagnosis trap: the usual first pass chases the invitation email. Tech picked up with the diagnosis done.

What the user sent

“Claude access revoked. Seat removed from me.” (five words, no error text)

AI first response

“That message comes from the workspace itself, not your account, so the workspace admin is the only one who can re-add you. Was the removal intentional?”

Self-resolved

Redirected ownership correctly: avoided the obvious wrong path of debugging the user's own account.
